sometime in the late 1900s when the ERA (equal rights amendment giving women equal rights to men in the eyes of the law) was going to be passed the crusade against it was led by a woman named phylis shlafly and shes proud that she basically single handedly defeated the amendment so people dont make sense and I too do not understand how people could be against basic human rights for one another
